Would this trade make sense for the New York Knicks?
After the failed Kemba Walker experience, the New York Knicks find themselves back where they started; needing an answer at the point guard position.
Malcolm Brogdon would present the Knicks with a stable veteran that can get downhill often throughout games and take pressure off RJ Barrett and Julius Randle in the creation department.
Perhaps what makes Brogdon all the more intriguing as a point guard option for the Knicks is his ability to make an impact as a defender coupled with his complementary traits on offense. He can knock down the spot-up jumper or attack aggressively off the catch and make a play.
Derrick Rose would still be around and can pick up where Brogdon leaves off in terms of getting into the paint when the Knicks look to make substitutions.

Of course, there would be concerns with Brogdon’s injury history, but he would not be an expensive point guard option to pursue and would bring a real upgrade where it’s needed most.
