The New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers are two teams that sought to compete at a high-level during the 2021-22 NBA season, but have each sorely underachieved in the win column.
The Knicks (12th) and Pacers (13th) both appear primed to outright miss the play-in tournament, more-so Indiana than New York given the 5.5 game gap separating even just the two of them. The Pacers already are focused on beyond this season after parting with Domantas Sabonis in a deal to land Tyrese Haliburton.
After the Pacers had traded Haliburton, there has been speculation and even some reporting about how Malcolm Brogdon is likely to be moved in the offseason given the overlap at the point guard position.
Now, Brogdon is back in the lineup and the Pacers are looking forward to evaluating his fit alongside Haliburton during the stretch-run of the regular season.

If the Pacers do not end up liking the fit of a Brogdon-Haliburton backcourt, they certainly will have the option of moving on from Brogdon this offseason.
