2. Christian Wood
The Houston Rockets opted against trading any of their veterans ahead of the deadline. Christian Wood, Eric Gordon, and John Wall all remained with the team, which was surprising to some degree.
It was unlikely that Wall would be moved, but Gordon staying put was a bit shocking. The team wasn’t actively shopping Wood but were open to the idea if they received a big enough offer. Houston will likely be fielding a lot of offers for their veterans again once the offseason rolls around.
For Golden State, they should inquire about Wood and use Wiseman as the centerpiece of those negotiations. The rebuilding Rockets would love to have a player of Wiseman’s potential in the fold as they are one of the teams that can afford to wait out his development.
Wood is a solid two-way player that would fit in perfectly with the Golden State Warriors. He has shown that he is capable of carrying the offense as a go-to player and has a good shooting stroke, knocking down 37.2 percent of his 3-point attempts in his career.

Golden State currently doesn’t have a big man that can space the floor, a dimension Wood would add. He is a very good rebounder, pulling down a career-high 10.2 per game this season to go along with 2.2 assists, another career-high.
