Dennis Schroder – Houston Rockets

Dennis Schroder receives a lot of scrutiny for some reason, but he is a really solid combo-guard in this league. Between being a facilitator and a scorer off-the-dribble, Schroder has proven time-and-time again that he is a reliable backcourt option for a playoff contending team.

He was effective with the Atlanta Hawks several years back, he was successful in his sixth-man role with the Thunder during the 2019-20 season and he really was not that bad with the Lakers.

Schroder proved to be useful with the Celtics prior to being traded to the Rockets at the trade deadline and now, he is set to become an unrestricted free agent in the offseason.

What Dennis Schroder’s price tag is looking like is a mystery right now, as he wanted a $100 million contract this past offseason, but the Knicks could potentially look to sign him to a three-year deal worth upwards of $50 million.

For his career, Dennis Schroder has averaged 14.3 points, 4.7 assists and has shot 43.6% from the floor. He is not the best option for any team in this league, but Schroder is effective and can do his job on the floor.

The Knicks need some consistent play in their backcourt, hence why Dennis Schroder could peak their interest as a late-minute option in free agency.
