Collin Sexton – Cleveland Cavaliers
One of the more intriguing pending free agents that nobody is talking about right now is Collin Sexton. After suffering a meniscus injury in his right knee early on in the season, Sexton was shut down for the season, but his long-term future in Cleveland is in doubt.
Darius Garland was named a first-time All-Star this season and after acquiring Caris LeVert, the Cavaliers’ ability to extend Collin Sexton on a long-term, high-paying deal without going over the luxury tax line is gone.
Just 23-years-old, Sexton has made a name for himself with the Cavaliers by being a high-level scoring option in the backcourt.
In his four seasons with the Cavaliers, Collin Sexton has averaged 20.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists and has shot 45.8% from the floor, 37.8% from three-point range.

Not only is Sexton a young talent that the Knicks could build with/around for years to come, but he has proven to be a great blend of a scorer and facilitator in the backcourt.
He is more effective as a preliminary scoring option, but Collin Sexton has proven to be effective off-the-ball as well because of his ability to attack the lane. Sexton is not a true point guard, but he is good enough to handle the No. 2 or No. 3 spot in New York next to Randle and Barrett long-term.
Collin Sexton’s situation with Cleveland is definitely one to watch this offseason, especially since he is going to be a restricted free agent.
