LeBron James
LeBron James has put the Los Angeles Lakers on notice. He left the door open for a return to the Cleveland Cavaliers down the road.
All 30 teams in the NBA will be pursuing his son, Bronny, when he is draft eligible because LeBron let it be known he will be finishing his career playing alongside him. He heaped praise on Sam Presti, the general manager of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
All of this was to put pressure on the Lakers’ front office to make moves to build a contending roster. Teams usually acquiesce to LeBron James’ demands, but Los Angeles put their foot down this year.
LeBron James’ representation, Klutch Sports, wanted Los Angeles to acquire John Wall from the Houston Rockets in exchange for Russell Westbrook. They wouldn’t do it, and now there is friction building between the sides.

A key date for what will happen in this saga is August 1st, which is when LeBron James is eligible for a contract extension. Ultimately, the two sides will get back on the same page and a deal will get done. James won’t be going anywhere, but a third stint with the up-and-coming Cavaliers would make for a fun ending to his career.
