What Will The Brooklyn Nets Look Like?
Trading James Harden started looking more and more likely leading up to the trade deadline and ultimately, GM Sean Marks and the Nets’ front-office pulled the trigger on a Harden deal, sending the former league MVP to the Philadelphia 76ers with Paul Millsap for All-Star Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond and two first-round picks.
Drummond and Curry provide some much needed depth for the Nets and Simmons should fit in nicely next to Irving and Durant, but when exactly are we going to see this Nets team in action?
Kevin Durant has not played since Jan. 15 due to a sprained MCL in his left knee, Kyrie Irving still cannot play in home games until New York City changes their vaccine mandate for good and Ben Simmons is still ramping up his conditioning in order to get back onto the floor.
Not to mention, the Nets are still going to be without Joe Harris, likely for the rest of the season, and newly signed veteran Goran Dragic will not make his debut in the Nets’ first game since the All-Star break on Thursday.

There are just so many questions surrounding this Nets team right now that it is hard to call them a true championship contender. On paper, they surely have enough talent to compete with the best of the best in the Eastern Conference, but their health and availability is a big concern right now.
Brooklyn has just 23 games remaining on their schedule this season and there is very limited time for their three All-Stars to get acclimated not just with one another, but with the rest of the team as well.
Time will tell what the Nets look like this season and if they have what it takes chemistry-wise to win a title in what has been a whirlwind of a season for them.
