Robin Lopez
Robin Lopez was someone that the Orlando Magic were looking to move ahead of the deadline. He was one of three veterans, along with Gary Harris and Terrence Ross, that the team was shopping. Alas, no deals were completed as the Magic had a pretty high asking price of a first-round pick.
As a result, Lopez could join Harris as a buyout candidate as both are on expiring deals. Lopez looks to be the odd man out as Orlando prioritizes their younger players, such as Wendell Carter Jr. and Mo Bamba, and rightfully so.
There would be plenty of teams interested in bringing in Lopez. He is more than serviceable as a backup big, averaging 7.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 0.6 blocks in only 17.3 minutes per game. Not part of the team’s long-term plans, it makes sense that he is a buyout candidate.
One team sticks out as a potential landing spot and that is the Milwaukee Bucks. It would be an opportunity for him to team up with his brother, Brook Lopez, once again. They spent the 2019-20 season together, so there is some familiarity between Robin and the organization.

The Bucks did acquire Serge Ibaka ahead of the trade deadline for frontcourt insurance, but he doesn’t offer the same sheer size that Lopez does. Adding him to the mix, especially with Brook’s return up in the air, would be a smart move as Bobby Portis is the only true healthy center on the roster.
