It has been a disappointing 2021-22 season for the New York Knicks and it doesn’t appear likely for that to change after the stretch-run. Trying to win with an elite defense wasn’t enough last season. Now, their defense slipped and they lack enough for star-power to win in a loaded Eastern Conference.
There aren’t a whole lot of options for Bradley Beal to target in terms of big markets if he were to make a trade request to the Washington Wizards. A lot of teams are already tapped out of trade assets in those cities—perhaps making the Knicks more intriguing.
There was thought of the Philadelphia 76ers being one of the potential options, but they are off the board after the James Harden trade. The mechanism to that potential deal was Ben Simmons, who has already been moved.
The New York Knicks have draft capital at their disposal to use while also having some intriguing talents to put in a trade package for a team looking to rebuild.

Adding a talent like Bradley Beal would present the Knicks with another threat to shoulder the load offensively and integrate in a two-man game with Julius Randle.
