The Sacramento Kings shocked the NBA world on Tuesday when they traded for All-Star Domantas Sabonis. First reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Kings acquired Domantas Sabonis, Jeremy Lamb, Justin Holiday and a 2023 second-round pick from the Pacers in exchange for Buddy Hield, Tristan Thompson and, surprisingly, second-year guard Tyrese Haliburton.
Thought by many to be “untouchable” ahead of the trade deadline, Haliburton had been having a sensational second year with the Kings. Leading the team in assists per game and being one of their main playmakers, Tyrese Haliburton had been showing All-Star potential in Sacramento over the last several weeks, which is why it was shocking to see them trade him.
With Domantas Sabonis coming in now, the Kings will have two All-Star-like talents with him and De’Aaron Fox, but it does not appear that this team is done making moves ahead of the deadline just yet.
Marvin Bagley III still remains a possible trade target for some teams given that he is on an expiring rookie contract and veteran wing Harrison Barnes has been drawing a lot of interest over the last few months.

Harrison Barnes was traded from the Dallas Mavericks to the Sacramento Kings during the 2018-19 season and since becoming a member of the Kings, he has really grown as a combo-forward and an all-around talent.
In 51 games this season, Barnes has averaged 16.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and has shot 40.5% from three-point range, currently tying his career-high for three-point shooting percentage during the 2014-15 season when he won a championship with the Golden State Warriors.
Throughout his entire career, Harrison Barnes has been regarded as a very consistent wing and being just 29-years-old, he still has plenty left in the tank to help multiple playoff contending teams in this league.
