Utah Jazz

The Jazz have looked sluggish over the last few months and after acquiring Nickeil Alexander-Walker from the Portland Trail Blazers for Joe Ingles and Elijah Hughes, it seems like they could be getting ready for a somewhat big addition at the deadline.

Shipping Joe Ingles’ contract was key for for the Jazz to open up some cap flexibility and luxury tax relief, but this could also be a signal that they are going to do everything they can to acquire either Jerami Grant or Harrison Barnes.

Finding more talent on the wing has been something the Jazz have been searching for dating back to last season and while they signed Rudy Gay in the offseason, they are still missing something in their rotations.

Donovan Mitchell can only do so much for this Jazz team and with Bojan Bogdanovic not being a high-level scoring threat from other team’s perspectives, they need another secondary scoring option that can help lift this team back to contention status in the Western Conference.

Harrison Barnes is not only an experienced, proven champion in this league, but he is having one of the best offensive seasons of his career. He would probably be more than happy to go to a contending team like the Jazz rather than staying with the Kings, which is why this trade could work out perfectly for both the Jazz and Barnes.
