Philadelphia 76ers Receive: G CJ McCollum
Portland Trail Blazers Receive: F Tobias Harris, 2022 First-Round Pick
This hypothetical trade package was put together by Michael Kaskey-Blomain over at CBS Sports. He put together a piece detailing some trades that the Philadelphia 76ers could make ahead of the NBA trade deadline that didn’t involve Ben Simmons.
This was one of the trades that he put together. The 76ers are able to add CJ McCollum in this deal, someone many speculated that they could snag in a deal involving Simmons. They retain the Simmons trade chip, landing McCollum without even including him.
Heading out to the greater northwest are Tobias Harris and a 2022 first-round pick. Harris has been a borderline All-Star for the 76ers, much as McCollum has been for Portland. Both are strong offensive players, but do it from different positions on the court.
This trade would likely signal that a rebuild is fully on in Portland. It would be the second trade they make ahead of the deadline, as they also completed one with the LA Clippers that involved Norman Powell and Robert Covington.
