1. Utah Jazz
The Utah Jazz is stuck in a bad rut. But, they have a clear need heading into the trade deadline that they are looking to address in the starting five.
The Jazz is looking to add a defensive-minded wing player that can slide into the starting lineup. It is the one thing they are lacking compared to the other contenders in the Western Conference that they are chasing in the Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies.
All three of those teams have multiple two-way wings to throw at you. The Jazz wants to get closer to that level, especially when opponents go small. The Jazz are routinely run off the court when their opponents play small-ball as Rudy Gobert’s impact is negatively impacted.
Harrison Barnes and Jerami Grant have been two of the players connected to the Jazz the most. Both would be excellent additions, as Barnes would bring championship experience as a glue guy. Grant brings a little more offensive punch but will cost considerably more.
