We are less than a week away from the NBA trade deadline and we have already seen one pretty sizable trade completed between the LA Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers.
The Clippers are acquiring Norman Powell and Robert Covington in exchange for Eric Bledsoe, Keon Johnson, Justise Winslow and a future second-round pick.
That is the first of what could be numerous trades made before the deadline on February 10th. There are plenty of teams that will be looking to be sellers as the Trail Blazers seem to be, as they could also move on from CJ McCollum.
The Clippers aren’t optimistic that they will be getting Kawhi Leonard back this season and Paul George’s fate could be determined by the MRI that he will undergo on February 24th.
