Would this trade make sense for the Philadelphia 76ers?
The Ben Simmons saga has to end at some point. The front office has been patient to this point and said all of the right things but they know that this cannot go on for ever. If it does not get solved by the NBA trade deadline, it is likely that Simmons is moved in the offseason. If Philadelphia gets this type of offer, it would be hard to turn down.
Collins would be an interesting fit but one that the Philadelphia 76ers should welcome with open arms. He continues to improve his game from three-point range and that brings a new skill that is beneficial in today’s NBA.
Collins is averaging 16.7 points and 8.0 rebounds per game this season while shooting 40.0% from beyond the arc. His fit next to Joel Embiid would offer some intriguing possibilities.
At 6-foot-9, Collins is versatile on both ends. He would complement Embiid well and provide another option down low. Collins also has the ability to take on the small forward position, which would help if Harris is moved in a trade such as this one.

Philadelphia is looking for the move that could get them over the hump and into the finals. Collins is certainly worth more than Simmons right now. Even if Simmons is playing, it is pretty close. This is a no-brainer for the Philadelphia 76ers if they are able to persuade the Atlanta Hawks.
