Indiana Pacers Receive: SF Gordon Hayward, C Vernon Carey Jr., 2025 Second-Round Pick
Charlotte Hornets Receive: C Myles Turner, F Justin Holiday, G Jeremy Lamb
There are benefits for both sides when it comes to this trade. If the Indiana Pacers are in on Gordon Hayward, they will have to make some moves in order to clear cap space. It would be interesting to see how this would happen.
Myles Turner would have to be the player that was at the top of the return. He’s been linked as a potential trade target for Charlotte for quite some time. The same can be said about Hayward for the Pacers, too.
If the Pacers were to move on from Turner, it would be with a focus to build around Domantas Sabonis. In such a circumstance, adding a veteran wing like Hayward who can convert from deep at a high clip, has shot creation ability, and is a high-level off-ball mover would check a lot of boxes.
Turner is owed $18 million a year over the next two seasons and this would be most of the salary match. The financials of this deal work out and it could fill holes for both sides.

The Hornets would land a cheap complementary wing in Justin Holiday to help fill a bit of the void left behind by moving Hayward. Meanwhile, Jeremy Lamb’s expiring deal would help free up cap space for the offseason.
Let’s take a closer look and see how this trade would benefit both sides right away.
