Does this trade make sense for the Toronto Grizzlies?

Trading for Pascal Siakam could make a lot of sense for the Memphis Grizzlies, especially since they would not be giving up as much value as it may appear.

Siakam would replace Adams at the center position, Anderson has only played in 75% of the Grizzlies’ games this season and all of the draft picks they would be giving up are replaceable since Memphis owns the Los Angeles’ 2022 first-round pick, Utah’s 2022 first-round pick and Golden State’s 2024 first-round pick.

The only real value the Grizzlies would be losing in this trade is Brandon Clarke and Ziaire Williams, two key young talents who are rotational players at the moment. Both of them could be replaced by John Konchar and Xavier Tillman Sr. in the rotation, so really, the Grizzlies are not losing much in terms of their core this season.

Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr., Desmond Bane and Dillon Brooks would all remain on the roster and the Grizzlies would be adding one of the better two-way frontcourt players in the league in Pascal Siakam.

This is certainly a trade that makes sense for the Grizzlies, but getting Toronto to sign off on it is going to be extremely tough to do.
