Jerami Grant
Jerami Grant is the obvious name that the Los Angeles Lakers should be going after. He is in the second of a three-year deal with the Detroit Pistons and is not a future piece for a rebuilding franchise. Grant has experience on contenders and would benefit a win-now team like Los Angeles.
The main benefit of bringing Grant to town is his ability on the defensive end of the floor. He is one of the best ‘3-and-D’ players in the league and this is a player that the Lakers do not have at the moment.
They are struggling defensively after moving Kyle Kuzma and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. These were the pieces traded in the Westbrook deal and they created holes in the rotation.
This is a huge hole that Grant could fill at the power forward position. He has shown that he could score at will in Detroit but the Lakers would not leave him to be the focal point of the offense.

Grant would be inserted into the starting lineup and bring a huge boost on both ends of the floor. He is going to be moved at some point over the next month and Los Angeles should be one of the first teams in line.
