Would this trade make sense for the Houston Rockets?

This trade would not impact the Houston Rockets much. The duo of John Wall and Eric Gordon are not future pieces for the team and they do not serve much of a purpose at this point. The Rockets need to build around their young core and acquire players that will be around long-term. This is how they will be able to turn things around.

Ben Simmons is as controversial a player as there is but he still finds a way to fill a stat sheet. He just can’t do this shooting the ball. In Houston, Green and Kevin Porter Jr. will continue to be the top options moving forward.

Adding a defensive stud and someone who could pass effectively would help. Simmons would not have to run point on this team either. They could always play him off the ball in different situations.

It would be interesting to see if Simmons would want to go to Houston. It seems likely that he would want to play for a contender but this is something that the Philadelphia 76ers should not worry about.
