Does this trade make sense for the Utah Jazz?
As much as the Utah Jazz love Joe Ingles and Royce O’Neale, their upside is really limited. Neither player is going to make the difference in the Jazz winning a playoff series or a title for that matter, but Harrison Barnes certainly can.
Being a reliable perimeter shooter, as well as a versatile defender on the perimeter, Harrison Barnes just plays his role so well and is one of the more underappreciated wings in the NBA.
He may not be a primary scoring option and is not close to being an All-Star talent, but you know what you are going to get every night with Harrison Barnes, which is why he could prove to be extremely useful to the Jazz in their pursuit of making a deep playoff run.
Being an upgrade from Joe Ingles on the wing and holding more immediate value than a 2025 first-round pick, Barnes would pair nicely with Bojan Bogdanovic on the wing.
