Charlotte Hornets Receive: G/F Ben Simmons, F Tobias Harris
Philadelphia 76ers Receive: F Gordon Hayward, G Terry Rozier, F Kelly Oubre Jr., 2023 First-Round Pick, 2025 First-Round Pick
This would certainly be a blockbuster deal. The Philadelphia 76ers would simultaneously trade their disgruntled superstar and also get off of a giant contract. Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets would get a great player to pair with LaMelo Ball.
Gordon Hayward has put together a really solid season for the Hornets so far.
The veteran forward is averaging 17.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists while shooting 47.1 percent from the field and 39.7 percent from behind the arc.
Terry Rozier and Kelly Oubre Jr. have also contributed to Charlotte’s elite offense. Rozier is averaging 18.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists while shooting 43.4 percent from the field and 37.3 percent from deep. Oubre is putting up 16.7 points and 4.0 rebounds on 45.5/37.1 shooting splits.
LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Ben Simmons Remains In Contact With These Two Teams
As mentioned, Ben Simmons has still yet to appear in a game this season but was a Defensive Player of the Year last year. As for Tobias Harris, he’s struggling with efficiency, averaging 18.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists on 46.9/32.8 shooting splits.
The Sixers have been exploring the trade market for Harris, assumedly in an attempt to get off of his contract. This deal would do that while also packaging him with Simmons. Would both sides be interested in a trade like this?
