John Wall – Houston Rockets
John Wall was traded to the Houston Rockets last season from the Washington Wizards in exchange for Russell Westbrook, but it does not appear that Wall is going to be in Houston too much longer.
At the beginning of the season, Wall and Rockets’ management agreed to work on his future in this league with the veteran still being an active member of this team, but not playing in games.
Then near the end of November, it was said that John Wall wanted to get back on the court, even if it was with the Houston Rockets.
Wall has yet to play this season and nothing has been said about Wall’s immediate future because of his contract.

Being owed $91.6M through next season because of a $47.3M player option for the 2022-23 season, not many teams in the league have the capability to trade for the former All-Star guard.
According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, various teams are expressing interest in John Wall this season should he become “free on the market,” but a trade or a buyout remains unlikely at this time.
The Clippers, Heat, Lakers, Celtics and Nets have all been rumored to be interested in the veteran point guard should he be bought out of his contract and there are definitely other playoff threats who would pursue John Wall.
LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Players Most Likely To Be Moved At NBA Trade Deadline
While he has dealt with a lot of injuries in his past and is definitely not the five-time All-Star he once was, John Wall played really well given the circumstances in Houston last season.
In 40 games, all of which he started in, Wall averaged 20.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 6.9 assists, 1.1 steals and shot 40.4% from the floor. Still being a high IQ basketball player and a reliable facilitator, John Wall could certainly help a team win a title in a reserve role should he be bought out of his contract.
