Chicago Bulls Are Ideal Team To Acquire Jerami Grant

Numerous teams would improve their chances of winning an NBA title by acquiring Jerami Grant from the Detroit Pistons. There arguably isn’t a team that would benefit from it more than the Chicago Bulls.

A lot of people questioned how things would work in Chicago as they weren’t sure the pieces would fit together. DeMar DeRozan received the pessimism, but he has played at an MVP level and is as big of a reason as any that the Bulls are in first place in the Eastern Conference.

Grant could slide right into the starting power forward spot that was originally being held by second-year player Patrick Williams. However, a wrist injury knocked Williams out of the lineup and he is likely going to miss the remainder of the regular season.

Sticking Grant in between Nikola Vucevic and DeRozan in the frontcourt, with Zach LaVine and Lonzo Ball in the backcourt is a championship-contending roster. Chicago could use a little depth on the roster, but they would have the makings of something special.

Given the interest around the league in Grant, it will not be cheap to acquire him even as he recovers from injury. The Bulls will have to pony up and outbid numerous other teams, such as the Los Angeles Lakers, Portland Trail Blazers, New York Knicks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings and Atlanta Hawks.
