Would this trade make sense for the Charlotte Hornets?
This goes without saying for the Hornets but this deal is a no-brainer. Myles Turner is one of the biggest names on the trade block and Charlotte needs a big man. They should be the first team on the phone when the trade deadline gets closer.
Turner suffered a foot injury and has missed the last five games. Many wondered how this would impact his trade value but it should not take that big of a hit. Turner is averaging 12.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game this season. He continues to be one of the best rim protectors in the league.
The Hornets have recently posted improved defensive results but still face the reality of needing a more dynamic rim protector. Mason Plumlee just doesn’t get the job done in that regard.
Turner has an improving offensive game but is far from perfect. He can shoot from deep at times and score in the post. He is a fast-paced big that would benefit from the talented backcourt that the Hornets feature.

The Charlotte Hornets qualified for a play-in game last season but this is not where they want to be. Charlotte believes it can compete in series play and this is where Turner would help right away.
