James Harden Eyeing Philadelphia 76ers?

The latest rumors pertaining to James Harden and the Brooklyn Nets, courtesy of Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer, is that the former league MVP remains invested in the Nets this season and their pursuit of a title, but Harden has expressed his interest in exploring other opportunities outside of Brooklyn this summer. 

Having a $47M player option for the 2022-23 season, James Harden seems like he is prepared to opt out of his contract, making him an unrestricted free agent for the first-time in his career. 

Obviously keeping Harden long-term is the main goal of the Nets’ front-office, but the Philadelphia 76ers have turned their attention to pursuing James Harden right now. 

Leading up to the NBA trade deadline, the Philadelphia 76ers are continuing to talk about trades pertaining to All-Star Ben Simmons, but no traction has really been made the last few months in trade talks.
