Boston Celtics Receive: G Mike Conley
Utah Jazz Receive: G Marcus Smart, G Dennis Schroder, 2022 Second-Round Pick, 2023 Second-Round Pick (via POR)
This trade could end up helping both teams. The Boston Celtics would get a veteran point guard who could run the offense to a tee, while the Utah Jazz would get an elite perimeter defender to help take care of things on that side of the floor.
Mike Conley has played well this season but ranks only fifth on the Jazz in minutes (28.5). He’s averaging 14.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 5.2 assists while shooting 45.7 percent from the field and 42.4 percent from behind the three-point line.
Marcus Smart is struggling with efficiency, but that’s been the case throughout his entire career.
The Oklahoma State product is putting up 11.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 5.3 assists while shooting 39.4 percent from the field and 30.5 percent from deep.

Lastly, Dennis Schroder has played well in his role for the Celtics this season. The German point guard is averaging 15.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 4.7 assists while shooting 44.3 percent from the field and 35.9 percent from behind the arc.
Utah would improve their depth and perimeter defense, while the Celtics would get an All-Star-caliber point guard to put next to Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. But what are the main reasons both sides should be interested in this trade?
