Would this trade make sense for the Orlando Magic?
Oddly enough, the Orlando Magic might not be interested in this trade, either. However, it would give them an All-Star-caliber player that is ready to play right now. De’Aaron Fox would immediately become the best player on their roster.
Having another speedy young guard could help the Magic. Fox could mentor both Cole Anthony and Jalen Suggs, and if Jamahl Mosley wanted to get really creative, he could roll out some lineups with all three of those guys on the court.
That being said, adding Fox would probably hurt the development of both Anthony and Suggs, too. He would step in and start to take away their playing time, but then again, Markelle Fultz is slated to do the same thing. It’s a weird mix they have in Orlando.
Trading picks is also probably not what the Magic want to be doing right now. They have a fun young team, and they’ll almost certainly want to add to it with more first-round picks in the next few years. So trading two of those picks for Fox wouldn’t be ideal.

All-in-all, the Magic would almost certainly stray away from this trade. They want to give Anthony and Suggs all the minutes possible. Plus, adding Jonathan Isaac to this team will give them a nice defensive edge. This is certainly a fun deal to think about, though.
