Would this trade make senes for the Los Angeles Lakers?
The Los Angeles Lakers just can’t seem to figure things out. While the fairly clear fix to their team would be to add quality defenders and depth, they seem hell-bent on going the route of having a star-studded big three, and this trade would help them maintain that formation.
Anthony Davis, injury-plagued or not, hasn’t exactly played up to par this year. His jump shot has been a mess, and if the Lakers are looking to shake things up, he’s the guy on their team that holds the most trade value (outside of maybe LeBron James).
Adding Bradley Beal would give the team a great second-scoring option, and he could re-ignite his chemistry with former teammate Russell Westbrook. That extra scoring punch on the perimeter could give the Lakers’ offense some different looks.
Plus, the acquisition of Thomas Bryant in this trade cannot be understated. Bryant would re-join the Lakers after four years in Washington, but he’s a much different player now. If he can get back (or even close) to how he played in the 2019-20 season, then the Lakers would have a new, much-improved option at the center position.

This trade is definitely odd, and almost certainly would never happen, but if the Lakers wanted to consider trading Davis, nabbing Beal would probably be one of the best returns out there. He’d give them a new big three and, ideally, help improve their offense.
