This trade would see the Sacramento Kings take the route of prioritizing depth and youth over a second star player. Marcus Smart and two young wings would be sent to Sacramento while the Boston Celtics would get a third star to pair alongside Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
De’Aaron Fox is playing well this season but is having somewhat of a down year in comparison to last year. The guard is averaging 20.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 5.1 assists while shooting 45.2 percent from the field and 24.3 percent from three-point land.
Smart has been struggling to shoot efficiently this year, but he’s done everything else well for the C’s.
The Oklahoma State product is averaging 11.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.9 steals while shooting 39.3 percent from the field and 30.4 percent from deep.
