Would this trade make sense for the Sacramento Kings?
If the Sacramento Kings decided to make this trade, they would be committing to building around Tyrese Haliburton as their franchise point guard. Luckily for them, he’s shown the potential to be just that in recent weeks.
This deal would greatly improve their frontcourt depth, and would also allow them to trade away Harrison Barnes for other assets. Kyle Kuzma would be a great floor spacer and hustle player, and Deni Avdija has the potential to turn into a great two-way player.
The same statement can be made about Corey Kispert, who hasn’t gotten consistent opportunities with the Wizards until lately. All three of them, in addition to Thomas Bryant, would be able to grow in Sacramento alongside Haliburton.
Sacramento’s starting lineup would probably look something like this if the trade were to get done – Haliburton, Buddy Hield, Avdija, Kuzma, and Richaun Holmes. That is, of course, if they did decide to trade Barnes in another deal. They would then have Kispert, Bryant, and Davion Mitchell coming off the bench.

That would add up to be a nice young core for the Kings. This would only happen if they were hell-bent on trading De’Aaron Fox. In reality, they could probably deal him for another young All-Star. But if they’d rather prioritize super young depth to put around Haliburton, this is a solid option.
