Does this trade make sense for the Sacramento Kings?

What do the Sacramento Kings really have to lose at this point?

So what if they do not make the playoffs again after acquiring Ben Simmons because they have not been there since before the iPhone was invented!

De’Aaron Fox is someone the Kings want to keep and should want to keep long-term, but if he is who they have to give up to get Ben Simmons, then so be it at this point. Simmons is still only 25-years-old and is already a proven All-Star, which is more than Fox can say at 24-years-old.

Assuming the Kings can change Simmons’ style of play on offense and let him be more of the player he wants to be instead of trying to fit him in like the Philadelphia 76ers did, maybe he can actually become a real scoring threat on the drive.

The Kings want Simmons and their only avenue to getting him seems to be if they give up Fox, which is why they should be willing to make this deal.
