Does this trade make sense for the Philadelphia 76ers?
Figuring out if Ben Simmons is going to be traded this season is likely throwing all the cards of a deck on a table face down and trying to decipher which one is the queen of hearts. Your guess is as good as mine right now, but this scenario all depends on whether or not a team is willing to offer said “All-Star-level” talent to the Philadelphia 76ers for their three-time All-Star.
His problems on offense are well-documented and maybe Ben Simmons has lost some value given his antics since the offseason, but he is still one of the better two-way players in the league right now and he could help almost every single team in the league right now because of his defensive style of play.
The Sacramento Kings would be extremely lucky to get their hands on Simmons and in this deal, the 76ers get exactly what they want in Jaylen Brown.
Maybe giving up various draft picks/swaps is too much for Daryl Morey to do in a trade where they are giving up a three-time All-Star, but Jaylen Brown is one of the best two-way wings in the entire league.

He is undoubtedly a better scorer than that of Ben Simmons and he can not only take over games with Embiid on the bench, but Brown could be a perfect complementary scorer on the wing with Embiid on the floor as well.
The trio of Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris and Jaylen Brown would be one of the hardest to stop on offense league-wide, which is why regardless of the draft picks they give up, the Philadelphia 76ers should be willing to make this dream come true.
