3 Ben Simmons Trades We’d Like To See Before NBA Trade Deadline

Ben Simmons, Philadelphia 76ers, NBA Trade Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

Ben Simmons was drafted first overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in 2016 and he was expected to be one of the best two-way players in the entire NBA.

In four full seasons, Simmons has definitely lived up to these expectations by being a three-time All-Star and two-time All-Defensive player, but this has not been good enough for the Philadelphia 76ers apparently.

Following their defeat to the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals last season, many blamed Simmons for his lack of offensive production and following their defeat in this series, even head coach Doc Rivers was critical of his young All-Star.

In the offseason, Ben Simmons requested a trade from the 76ers after the team really did nothing to try and salvage this relationship, yet here we are in January with Simmons still being “a member” of the Philadelphia 76ers.

He has not played in a single game for the Sixers and has refused to show up, citing “mental health” reasons as to why he is not showing up, but the three-time All-Star has remained adamant that he no longer wants to play for Philadelphia.

Daryl Morey and this front-office have been receptive of Simmons’ request and they have talked with almost every team in the league about a potential trade, but they are not prepared to trade the All-Star 7-footer for anything.

The 76ers have remained adamant on the fact that they want All-Star-level value in return for Simmons in a trade this season, something no team has been willing to offer up at this time.

With the trade deadline right around the corner and time running out for the 76ers to make a potential big addition to their roster this season, we could finally start to see trade talks for Ben Simmons progress, but what teams are still interested in him?
