New York Knicks Receive: G/F Caris LeVert
Indiana Pacers Receive: G/F Alec Burks, F Kevin Knox II, 2022 First-Round Pick

The Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks could make for good trade partners. Indiana is looking to cash in on some of their best assets to reshape their roster, and the Knicks will provide them a chance to do that.

In this scenario, the Knicks land Caris LeVert. His acquisition should be enough to push Evan Fournier into a bench role, as he looks like Michael Jordan against the Boston Celtics but has been painfully pedestrian against the rest of the NBA.

LeVert brings a lot of similarities to the team that Alec Burks does. Both are solid offensive creators and have the size to provide defensive versatility. But LeVert is three years younger than Burks, so he could provide the team with another longer-term piece on the wing.

Looking to remain competitive, the Pacers get Burks back in return. He will help replace LeVert’s production and the Pacers also get a look at Kevin Knox II. If they move Domantas Sabonis or Myles Turner, Knox could have a role in the frontcourt.

The first-round pick is a good get for the Pacers as well. They achieve their goal of acquiring players to remain competitive now yet still improve their long-term outlook. Meanwhile, the Knicks ceiling gets a little higher with LeVert in the mix.
