Would this trade make sense for the Dallas Mavericks?
For the Dallas Mavericks, they may be losing star power in this trade, but they’d be getting more quality pieces to put around Luka Doncic. The Mavericks have won a title centered around just one guy before, so why not try to use that same method once again?
Josh Hart is a great 3&D guy who could also handle some playmaking duties when he needs to. He’s a consistent presence on both ends of the floor, and he’s still only 26 years old. Hart still has plenty of time to grow as a player, and even if this is who he is, he’d be able to help Dallas a ton.
Devonte’ Graham would be that secondary ball-handler the Mavs have been itching to get their hands on for some time now. He’s not the most efficient shooter, but he’s a great playmaker and can make threes at a solid clip.
Lastly, Jaxson Hayes would get the chance to revitalize his young career next to an elite point guard. He said himself that he thinks he could be a great pick n’ roll player, and who better to be passing him the ball than Doncic. That tandem could be great if Hayes develops properly.
