One of the areas the Golden State Warriors could look to shore up is the center spot. They could use a little diversifying there, as they don’t have anyone that can step out and knock down a jump shot in the middle.
Kevon Looney, Draymond Green and James Wiseman don’t scare people from the perimeter. Otto Porter Jr. does if Steve Kerr deploys him in the middle in small-ball lineups, but when the team is healthy, they won’t need him to fill that spot as often.
Instead, they could pivot and bring someone in from outside the organization. There are a few players they could target, but Dieng is someone that would bring something different to the roster.
Dieng is a 36.1 percent 3-point shooter in his career and is a solid rebounder, grabbing 5.9 per game. He can also provide some defense, blocking 0.9 shots and registering 0.8 steals in 20.9 minutes per game throughout his career.

With the Atlanta Hawks having Clint Capela holding down the starting spot and youngster Onekya Okongwu behind him, Dieng could become expendable closer to the deadline once the Hawks are healthy.
