Sacramento has gone 15 consecutive seasons without reaching the playoffs and with the way things are trending for them right now, they are about to extend this streak, or drought depending on how you look at it, to 16 consecutive seasons!
De’Aaron Fox is a really promising looking talent that the Kings have locked-up on a long-term deal, but what else does this team really have? Their frontcourt is a mess and full of guys who could be on the move at the NBA trade deadline like Marvin Bagley III, Alex Len, Tristan Thompson and Damian Jones, and their talent on the wing is not much better.

Harrison Barnes is a key secondary scorer and talent, as is Buddy Hield, but both players do not seem to be in the long-term plans for the Sacramento Kings and their names have been brought up in trade rumors recently.
Realistically, De’Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton and rookie Davion Mitchell are the only ones safe from the trade block right now and the Kings are going to be willing to take any kind of value they can get at this point.
Bagley and his agent do not want to be in Sacramento any longer than they need to be, Hield was almost traded in the offseason and the Sacramento Kings are once again struggling at 13-21 on the season.
Nothing has gone right over the years for this franchise, which is why it is time to start over once again. They have a strong foundation with De’Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton, Harrison Barnes and Richaun Holmes, but fixing the rest of this roster is a must.

For the Kings to climb out of the hole they have dug over the years, Sacramento is going to need another All-Star-like talent to pair with Fox. This franchise needs someone like Pascal Siakam or Ben Simmons and if they do not get said player at the NBA trade deadline, they might as well tack on at least two more years until they are contending for a playoff spot.
The Sacramento Kings have been one of the most dysfunctional front-offices in the entire NBA for years now and until they prove that they can make a big move, they will remain near the bottom of the standings in this league.
