Would this trade make sense for the Milwaukee Bucks?
There is no reason for the Milwaukee Bucks to not make a trade of this nature. Finding a stretch-five is not easy given their value and with Brook Lopez turning 34-years-old in April and already having back problems, it’s worth making a move for a younger option.
Myles Turner has found his stride playing out on the perimeter alongside a traditional big man in Domantas Sabonis after doing so for a few seasons.
On a team like the Bucks who have no shortage of lane penetrators, there would be a lot of value in having Turner’s perimeter shooting. However, he can get downhill from out in space to make plays in addition to being able to play-finish in the paint and attack mismatches.
The Bucks would have Turner’s Bird rights after acquiring him, so while he will command a much greater contract than Brook Lopez, Milwaukee has the means to pay him on his next deal.

Turner would further elevate the Bucks’ defense with his dynamic paint protection and general defensive versatility. Just imagine, Turner making help rotations alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday, and Khris Middleton… That’s intriguing, to say the least.
