In the 2021 NBA Draft, the Thunder opted to draft Josh Giddey instead of Jonathan Kuminga. It’s far too early to make declarations either way, but regardless, that was a chance at a wing they passed on taking.

There is a need for the Oklahoma City Thunder to add more salary spending going forward in order to meet the salary cap floor. Giving an extension to Reddish would only help in that regard.
