Does this trade make sense for the Indiana Pacers?

Indiana has nothing going for them right now and both Caris LeVert and Myles Turner are expendable. Rookie Chris Duarte has stepped up a lot this year and with T.J. Warren on the mend, the Indiana Pacers could wind up cutting LeVert’s minutes down a little bit as the season progresses.

As for Myles Turner, the Pacers have underutilized him time-and-time again on offense and they only really use him as a rim-protector on defense. Turner could be so much more on any other team in the league and again, the Pacers can get away with moving him since they have rookie Isaiah Jackson, who they are high on, and Domantas Sabonis in their frontcourt.

Cody Zeller is nothing more than a placeholder until the Pacers can address their frontcourt in the offseason, but there is a lot of value to be had with CJ McCollum and Nassir Little. McCollum would replace LeVert’s production on the perimeter, plus give Indiana more scoring than they already have, and Nassir Little is starting to become a versatile combo-forward in Portland.

His ability to be a factor on both ends of the floor, as well as run in transition is something that could be very dangerous for a team like the Indiana Pacers, who already have a ton of facilitators and ball-handlers that can hit Little in transition.

Trading for CJ McCollum is something the Indiana Pacers have shown interest in for a while now and by leveraging Caris LeVert and Myles Turner, they can get the veteran shooting guard. Pairing McCollum with Brogdon and Sabonis gives the Pacers a “Big 3” that they can build around moving forward, allowing them to be a threat once more without having to rebuild.
