NBA Insider Reveals Two Players ‘Most Likely’ To Be Traded Soon

NBA Trade Rumors

There is still a lot of time until the NBA trade deadline on February 10. However, there is no shortage of discussion taking place on potential trade scenarios.

The primary focus has been on Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers for many months — causing what seems to be mostly a holding pattern for a lot of trade talks around the league.

With no sign of a resolution taking place in Simmons’ ongoing standoff, teams will have no choice but to shift course to other options that are out there around the NBA.

Smaller trades appear to be the most likely of options as teams experience a lack of results in key areas after previously holding optimism about their personnel. Other teams may become sellers after failing to win with their current makeup.

LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Could Sixers Revisit Simmons-For-Westbrook Trade With Lakers?

NBA Insider Marc Stein reported that two players who appear to be the ‘most likely’ to be moved at the NBA trade deadline include Boston Celtics guard Dennis Schroder and Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant.

With Detroit on a 13-game losing streak and quickly slumping to a 12-70 pace, Jerami Grant is increasingly regarded by rival teams as one of the NBA’s most likely players to be traded before the Feb. 10 trade deadline.

Also climbing on Most Likely To Be Traded lists leaguewide: Boston’s Dennis Schröder. The Celtics do not want to break up their Jayson Tatum/Jaylen Brown duo, no matter how much skepticism continues to circulate about how well they function together, and mixed signals persist about new team president of basketball operations Brad Stevens’ true willingness to part with Marcus Smart.

The Boston Celtics will almost surely be unable to afford to re-sign Dennis Schroder in the offseason — making him a prime candidate to be traded at the deadline. Boston likely would not like to make that move in a vacuum, but they could be faced with that reality soon.

As for the Detroit Pistons, they have the worst record in the NBA and currently are riding a 14-game losing streak. It’s easy to see why the team would potentially be thinking about moving some players to gain more assets. Cade Cunningham is the franchise-cornerstone long-term but winning is still far away from occurring.

There could be plenty of action ahead of the NBA trade deadline based on how some players have found their names in rumors as of late. Jerami Grant and Dennis Schroder certainly appear to be atop that list.
