Charlotte Hornets Receive: C Christian Wood
Houston Rockets Receive: F/C PJ Washington, C Mason Plumlee, C Kai Jones, 2024 First Round Pick

There was genuine optimism surrounding Christian Wood when the Houston Rockets made the decision to sign him last offseason. However, he has clearly exceeded whatever the expectations that were set for him.

Wood has quickly turned into a big-time contributor in the post. He is a strong player on both ends on the floor and would benefit a team looking for a big man.

Wood would be the centerpiece of the deal going back to Charlotte and would give them some new depth right away. The team has sorely needed a long-term answer in the frontcourt to anchor the middle but has yet to find that particular talent yet.

In return, Charlotte could part ways with the likes of PJ Washington, Kai Jones, and Mason Plumlee. This will allow them to keep their core intact as they improve the frontcourt. Washington has shown some intriguing flashes throughout his NBA career and is still just 23-years-old.
