Does this trade make sense for the Denver Nuggets?
Pursuing another guard is not necessarily a terrible idea for the Denver Nuggets and adding Dennis Schorder could actually be a move that pays dividends for the Nuggets.
Monte Morris and Facundo Campazzo have played well as a “one-two” tandem with Jamal Murray being out, but Schroder is a better scorer than both of these guys and has proven to be an efficient “sixth-man-like” player over the years.
Not counting last season in Los Angeles, Dennis Schroder was a great bench talent in Oklahoma City during the 2019-20 season and he is once again proving to be a solid second-unit guy in Boston this season.
Shooting 33.7% from deep over the course of his career, Schroder can make outside shots here and there, but the bulk of his action on offense comes by beating his defenders off-the-dribble and getting inside the paint for layups.

With Nikola Jokic being a terrific passer and being involved a lot in dribble-handoff actions, as stated before, Dennis Schroder could be utilized as not only a secondary facilitator, but someone the Nuggets can run off of Jokic in order to get to the rim.
This trade gives the Denver Nuggets another guy who can create for himself and score at the rim at the expense of a bench player and a future second-round pick. JaMychal Green has played well for Denver, but they do not necessarily need him, which is why this trade would make sense for the Nuggets.
