Tomas Satoransky
Another potential trade target for the Knicks to upgrade their backcourt talent with Kemba Walker out of the rotation is Tomas Satoransky. Like Coby White, Satoransky played for the Bulls last season, but he was moved to the Pelicans this past offseason as part of the sign-and-trade deal that sent Lonzo Ball to Chicago.
In 58 games last season, Satoransky averaged 7.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists and shot 51.4% from the floor, 35.6% from three-point range. The best thing about Tomas Satoransky though is that he is a reliable ball-handler and facilitator.
The veteran posted a 2.8 assist-to-turnover ratio last season and so far this year, he has posted a 3.0 assist to turnover ratio in the limited amount of minutes he has played. The Knicks would have to trade Kemba Walker in order to acquire Tomas Satoransky, but this may not be a bad move for two reasons.
Not only could Satoransky play a viable role off-the-bench, giving Derrick Rose and Immanuel Quickley some help in the backcourt, but he is also in the final year of his contract. By freeing up Kemba Walker’s contract now, the Knicks could wind up saving themselves over $9M next season, money that could be used to lure a big name free agent to New York in the offseason.

Consistency at the point guard/shooting guard position is what the Pacers would get with Tomas Satoransky and while they have solid options already in Quickley, Rose and Burks to take over or Walker, the Knicks would benefit from having this extra bit of experience in their bench unit.
Being utilized more as a secondary facilitator, as well as a catch-and-shoot threat on the perimeter, Tomas Satoransky could prove to be a valuable addition for the New York Knicks.
