Danuel House Jr. – Houston Rockets

While he is not a big name on the trade block, Danuel House Jr. is an experienced shooter that could see quite a bit of interest come the trade deadline. The 28-year-old wing is in his fourth season with the Houston Rockets, but with them rebuilding and focusing on their young talents, House is beginning to be pushed out of the rotation.

The Rockets do not want to keep Danuel House long-term and being in the final year of his contract, they are going to try and move him for a draft pick and/or a young talent to add to their already talented group of young, athletic players.

For his career, House has averaged 8.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and has shot 36.4% from three-point range, making him a rotational player that can play anywhere from 15-20 minutes per game for a contending team in either conference.

Being a part of championship-caliber teams in Houston through the years, Danuel House brings playoff knowledge with him, as well as the ability to knock down key shots from the perimeter to any new team he could join.

The Cavaliers lack three-point shooters right now, as mentioned earlier, which is why at a low cost, Danuel House is a player that could be worth Cleveland investing in, but at the same time, how much of a difference will he really make for this team?

Danuel House is definitely a key rotational guy that can see a handful of minutes off-the-bench, but the Cavaliers already have both Cedi Osman and Ricky Rubio as “sparks” off-the-bench. When healthy, they also have Dean Wade and Dylan Windler as two bench options as well on the perimeter.

It would not be a terrible move for Cleveland to pursue House, especially since he is only making $3.8M this season, but at the same time, there is not a lot of value that they will get out of this trade. Seeing as they would have to give up at least a draft pick for him, this trade really is not worth it in the grand scheme of things for the Cavaliers.

Verdict: Pass
