Does this trade make sense for the Memphis Grizzlies?
Seeing as they have a small trade exception to use and could utilize another wing off-the-bench, Kenrich Williams should be someone the Memphis Grizzlies have their eyes on this season as a potential NBA trade deadline pick-up.
Dillon Brooks has been banged up to begin the year and while they have rookie Ziaire Williams, second-year wing Desmond Bane and veteran Kyle Anderson as possible back-up options behind Brooks, having Williams for even more depth definitely does not hurt the Grizzlies in any way, especially since his contract is so affordable.
Maybe Kenrich Williams would not play much in Memphis, but having him on their roster gives them an extra sense of security in case injuries occur. You can never have too much depth on your roster, especially on the wing, in today’s NBA!
Jarrett Culver is a young player with the potential to still be impactful at some point in his career, but the Memphis Grizzlies really do not have a need for him in terms of winning right now. They have plenty of other young players ahead of him on the team’s depth chart, which is why they should be more than willing to move Culver and a draft pick for Williams.

Believe it or not, the Grizzlies are a sneaky good team in the Western Conference this year and if they are healthy for the playoffs, they could wind up pulling a first-round upset. They lost in five games to the 1-seeded Jazz last year, but every game they played hard and made life tough for Utah.
They could absolutely do the same this year and with Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Dillon Brooks all playing at a high-level, look out for the Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference.
