Terence Davis – Sacramento Kings

The Kings are looking to end a 15-year playoff drought this season and they are doing a bad job in doing so! Sacramento is currently 7-12 and have a lot of internal situations to figure out, especially after firing head coach Luke Walton 17 games into the new season.

Buddy Hield and Marvin Bagley III remain key trade assets on this team’s roster that will likely be moved ahead of the trade deadline in February, but so could Terence Davis. After signing a new two-year, $8M deal this past offseason to remain in Sacramento, the Kings could look to trade Davis due to his bad start.

Terence Davis is only averaging 4.5 points, 1.4 rebounds and is shooting just 23.1% from three-point range in about 13 minutes per game. While he was really solid last season off-the-bench for the Kings, Terence Davis does not seem to bring the same “spark” he did a season ago, which is concerning for the Kings.

His slow start is definitely a cause for concern, but why would the Bucks want to trade for him? While Terence Davis would give them more bench depth on the wing, he would come to Milwaukee and rank 10th on the team in scoring.

There is a big risk in this deal for the Milwaukee Bucks, which is why they should not pursue a trade for Terence Davis. He is a liability on the offensive-end of the floor right now and is not worth the Bucks giving up assets to acquire him.

While Davis could eventually turn things around and go back to averaging double-digit scoring numbers like he did last season, Milwaukee’s roster is fine as it is and they do not need to be adding risky players to it. There are much more sturdy offensive weapons on the trade block than Terence Davis, which is why the Bucks should not want to pursue this trade.

Verdict: Pass
