2. Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings have a lot of people within the organization that are fighting for their jobs. Luke Walton is on arguably the hottest seat of head coaches around the league. Monte McNair is general manager for a team whose owner isn’t afraid to make changes if his vision isn’t being constructed.

As a result, those two are in desperate need of an upgrade. The Sacramento Kings were connected to Pascal Siakam and Ben Simmons throughout the offseason. Currently sitting at 5-8, they should get more aggressive in their pursuit of Simmons.

Sacramento has gotten career-best performance from Harrison Barnes thus far this season; where would they be without that? They are currently on the outside looking in of the NBA Play-In Tournament, but given the down year the Western Conference is having, they have a good chance of at least cracking that.

Acquiring Simmons would help them in their pursuit of snapping a 15-year playoff drought. That is tied for the longest in NBA history and certainly is a record the Kings do not want to own singularly.
