3. Minnesota Timberwolves
The Minnesota Timberwolves jumped out to a 3-1 record to start the season, but things quickly soured. They have only won one of their next eight games, falling to 4-8 on the season with the looks of another lost season on the horizon.
But, with a new general manager in place, he could look to make an aggressive move to help turn the tide of the franchise. Acquiring someone such as Ben Simmons would certainly help accomplish that.
Simmons would give Minnesota a defensive ace to rely on at the point of attack. He is arguably the most versatile defender in the NBA given that he is athletic enough to defend guards and wing players but has the size to bang down low with opposing big men.
Depending on who is involved in the package, the Minnesota Timberwolves should have plenty of offensive firepower to surround Simmons with. Having floor spacers and shot creators around him are integral to finding success with Simmons offensively.
