3. Dallas Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks did some due diligence when it came to trading Kristaps Porzingis over the offseason. Things have not worked out as planned for the organization since they acquired Porzingis from the New York Knicks in a trade.
He has failed to live up to expectations as the sidekick for Luka Doncic, battling numerous injuries and failing to consistently produce. If Dallas is looking for a younger player that could grow alongside Doncic, P.J. Washington could be a potential target.
Washington would bring a lot to the table that Dallas needs. He has been a solid scoring option in the frontcourt for the Charlotte Hornets and his ability to space the floor is an added bonus. If Porzingis remains with the team, Washington gives the Dallas Mavericks a good option to pair with him in the frontcourt.
Dallas’s defense has been improved this season, another area Washington was performing well in. He has come a long way on that end of the court and would be categorized as a strong defender by some.

Calling in and checking on Washington’s availability would be a smart thing for the Dallas Mavericks to do. With Doncic’s extension kicking in next season, they are going to have to get creative when upgrading the roster. Making trades could be the easiest avenue for them to do so.
